Welcome to the Town of Groton, Connecticut

Fair Rent Commission

The town of Groton’s Fair Rent Commission was established in 1990 (ordinance #203, amended by Ordinance #209) to control and eliminate excessive rental charges for housing accommodations within the Town and City (Resolution R-92-4-25). The Groton Fair Rent Commission has the power to decide whether or not a proposed rent increase is harsh and unconscionable.
