You Can: the Basics of Home Canning
Want to learn the basics of home canning? Do you already know a little bit about canning but want to learn more? Have you tried your hand at water bath canning and now want to venture into pressure canning? Do you want to make the most of your garden produce and stretch your food budget?
This basic workshop will get you started in the world of canning. This is a non-cooking class, so no actual canning will be done on site. Instead, this workshop provides an overview of how-to can and canning safety. It will showcase the equipment you need to get started and where to find resources and recipes. There will be handouts, take-home materials, and some recipe sampling.
